Klaire’s Mini Bernedoodle Sendoff

Clackamas Redmond mini Bernedoodle Puppy

We had a wonderful weekend in central Oregon, as we said goodbye to Klaire’s mini Bernedoodle puppies as they went to homes throughout Washington and Oregon. We also got to witness a sweet reunion between one of our Goldendoodle moms and one of her puppies. We are also watching Belle’s massive litter of 13 bernedoodle puppies quickly develop and grow like weeds. As Belle’s bernedoodles wriggle their way into puppyhood, we also confirmed a couple litters of goldendoodle puppies. Plus, we’re also doing health screening on our next generation of HDFD Goldendoodle & Bernedoodle sires and dams, in order to make sure we continue to maintain our high health standards for our breeding program. It is a lot to manage, nurture, and coordinate, but we are loving all of this life, joy, and energy!

Seattle Bellevue Mini Bernedoodle Puppy

Puget Sound Puppy!

This little mini Bernedoodle is headed to the Seattle area.

We absolutely reveled in sending home Klaire’s mini Bernedoodle puppies. This litter of six sweet mini bernedoodles was a wonderful group of dogs to be around. They’re playful, confident, easy-going, and not too barky. This litter was also one of the more extreme girl/boy breakdown with five girls and one boy. So while it was tough to see these puppies head out to their new homes, we’re thrilled for their new families and the adventures that await them. We also placed two of these females - Petal and Bloom - in Central Oregon guardian homes with the hopes that they’ll be future mini bernedoodle moms for us. These mini bernedoodles are now respectively Stevie and Boo. The other four also stayed close in either Oregon or Washington. It was a full weekend affair, with some of these puppies going home on Saturday, and others going home on Sunday. We had full hearts after dropping our Sunday puppies off for their respective travels to the Seattle metro area!

Goldendoodle Generations

Do you see the resemblance? Penny is Honey’s puppy!

Honey got to experience some reunions this week. One was on go home day! One of Klaire’s puppies’ families also has one of Honey’s goldendoodle puppies - Mr. Tumnus, now Webster - so they brought him to puppy pickup. It was so cool to see them meet each other again, as it really appeared like they were familiar with each other. They greeted each other with the requisite sniffing, along with a lot of tail-wagging. It may just be me, but it seemed different than a normal dog greeting protocol. They played for a bit, which was great to see. It was some more joy for the heart! This weekend, Honey also got to see another of her goldendoodle puppies from that litter - and a hopeful goldendoodle mom for us - Ms. Penny! There was more of the same: tail-wags, romps, aroused posturing. It’s easy to see Honey in both of these offspring, and we love how focused on people they are as well. It’s been a wonderful Mother’s Day week for her.

Belle’s medium bernedoodle puppies are sampling their first food.

I think they like it!

With Klaire’s puppies home, we get to shift our attention to our current litter, along with our upcoming ones. Belle’s Disney litter of 13 bernedoodle puppies are starting to show some autonomous curiosity, exploring their immediate work surrounding their welping box. Their little barks come at surprising times, as if they’re just tryingng them on. They also began to eat a little bit of solid food this week. We have a lot of males in this litter, and currently have some availability

Happy Bend Prineville Mini Goldendoodle

Happy Goldendoodle!

Miss Chloe is full of cheerful licks and greetings, even when she’s getting ready to have puppies.

Along with Belle’s litter, both Rosie and Chloe have moved in as we get closer to their due dates. Chloe is due this next week, with Rose due soon afterward. Both Rosie and Chloe are looking very pregnant, although they both still have quite a bit of energy. One thing that makes this timing especially sweet is that Rosie is Chloe’s mom - Chloe was Rosie’s first puppy ever - so we will have a mother/daughter Goldendoodle nursery coming up. This lovely to see them interact right now - they’re both so sweet with each other. However, we also know that pregnant/nursing moms can behave strangely, so we’re going to have all of our typical precautions in place to help our mommas feel safe with their puppies so they can relax and focus on their litters.

Over the past week, Honey has begun her heat cycle! We’re looking to pair her with Rudy for this litter, which will be Honey’s retirement litter. Honey was not only our first Goldendoodle momma, but she’s also a great mom to her puppies. It’s been wonderful seeing her puppies flourish in homes all across the country, and to see some sweet reunions like the one with Webster this past weekend. It seems only fitting that this is Mother’s day weekend. We will do a couple progesterone tests on Honey this week, and. expect to breed Honey and Rudy later this week. This places these puppies born in mid July and going home in mid September. This is the first pairing of Rudy and Honey, and we are expecting small medium goldendoodles with wavy red coats.

Little Central Oregon Adventure

There’s so much beauty; just got to take some time to drink it all in!

This Mother’s Day week has been overflowing for us. While there’s more than enough to keep us busy, we love to see HDFD generations taking shape, spreading puppy love and joy all throughout Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond! It’s been wonderful sharing this joy with everyone, and we look forward to what’s in store.

Warmly,

Erin and Jay
